I found the perfect accommodation for a group or family on a ski vacation on Sasquatch Mountain (formerly called Hemlock Valley Resort), near Harrison Hot Springs, BC. A friend of my family’s bought a large log cabin near the base of the ski lift and I was able to stay in it this summer as their first guest.
Accommodation for Large Groups and Families
The log cabin is large – 2,200 square feet – and covers two floors plus a basement with a pool table and a loft with two single beds. The bedrooms are lovely: wooden snowshoes and skis hang on the walls, and the beds are all brand new. (The master bedroom bed is very comfortable!)
I especially love the immense dining room table made from reclaimed wood and the second floor patio that gets drenched with sunshine.
The whole house can fit up to 13 people, if you include the loft (up a ladder) and the pull-out couch in the living room. With an open feel and high ceilings, this is a great accommodation for groups and families.
