When the sun blazes into the evening hours, live music is on many people’s radars. This summer, Red Truck Beer is holding its second concert series in as many years, expanding their outdoor event to two stages, and weekly live music is happening throughout Vancouver all summer long. Below are some of the best Vancouver concerts this summer.
Vancouver Concerts with Locally Brewed Beer
Red Truck Brewing presents the 2016 Truck Stop Concert Series, a trio of live music events in the Brewery Creek neighbourhood. Two stages, food from the brewery’s “Truck Stop” diner and their locally-brewed beer are promised.

Supporting acts: Dawn Pemberton and Ballantynes, Chin + Lifetimes, The Red Gold & Green Machine, and Star Captains
- July 9th: Hollerado (alt-rock from Ottawa)
Bend Sinister and Red Eye will be part of the guitar rock showcase
- August 6th: Jon Pardi (country)
Supporting act: The Washboard Union
More guests will be added as we get closer to the summer. Tickets are $35 per show or $85 for all three) and the concerts run from 4-10pm. If you miss one of the above dates, the Truck Stop has live music Friday and Saturday evenings. You can also sign up for group tours of the brewery that include four samples. The retail store has retro-themed souvenirs.
The long-running Music on Main concert series runs year-round at venues across the city. This summer, Bhangra on Main is back, featuring Vijay Kumar Yamla from India. He will be sharing Punjabi folk culture with audiences during the annual Vancouver International Bhangra Celebration.
