I can’t forget to mention the newly opened Outameni Experience in Jamaica. It’s an interesting attraction that goes through the history of the Caribbean island through costumed performances and shows.
The actors are completely over the top and participants must join in on the singing and dancing. It’s definitely not an attraction for everyone.
I would say it’s a great educational resource to bring kids to, but the dancehall performance at the end of the tour was a little too much for children to see: think skimpy clothes and the (dare I say?) objectifying culture of dancehall.
This video is a little snippet of the fun dancer who came out to greet us before we went into the attraction. Completely family-friendly, I promise.
