It’s a crazy night for Vancouver Canucks fans. I’m listening to the game against Anaheim Ducks on the Team 1040 radio station. It’s insane. Completely insane. Right now it’s 6-5 for the Canucks, after both teams scored seven goals combined in the second period alone. As I said before, complete insanity.
To top that off, if there’s such a thing, is that Roberto Luongo, the Canucks goalie (and Captain), just got an assist. His first, not surprisingly, of the season and most probably his last. It’s insane.
This kind of weird and wacky game reminds me, though, of what I miss about my “home life’ when I’m on the road. No matter where I’m travelling in the world, I always miss hockey. If I’ve got an internet connection then I can keep up to date, but sometimes it’s not possible.
I get so disappointed about missing games like this. Actually, I’ve never seen a game like this before. It’s insane, did I mention that?
It’s Halloween night, the hockey game is insane and I’m loving every minute of it!
UPDATE: The Ducks caught up with under a minute left in the third period. A shootout ensued. Wellwood scores the first goal for the Canucks. Getslaf gets the first goal for the Ducks. Thirteen shooters from each team later, and Ohlund gets the winning goal for the Canucks. Insane. Luongo is a champ. 7-6.
