Dancing Through History Book Launch Photos

Back on April 29, 2012 (International Dance Day), my latest book was launched, Dancing Through History: In Search of the Stories that Define Canada. It has been a hectic few months of promotional stuff like media interviews and (trying) to keep people up to date on the publicity that’s come out so far, and I’ve enjoyed myself immensely.

Now, it’s time to post the photos from the book launch. I was fortunate enough to have The Dance Centre in downtown Vancouver sponsor the event and add it to their International Dance Day programming. I couldn’t imagine a more beautiful space to have the event in (you’ll see the floor-to-ceiling windows, natural light and terrace in the photos). What a dream.

I also want to thank my two photographers, one a professional and the other a dear friend who volunteered to capture the best day of the year so far for me. Thank you to Dean Guzman of DG Photography (who specializes in events, parties, concerts and portfolios) and Karen Sung (or sung_kist on Instagram).

And with that, may I present to you the photos from the launch of Dancing Through History: In Search of the Stories that Define Canada.
