There are quite a few nice restaurants to eat at in Whistler, BC. I hadn’t yet been to Quattro and a group of five of us decided to go there for dinner.
Unlike the Vancouver location, Quattro Whistler is ornately decorated. The iron entrance gate leads to a small, square area, with Italian artwork covering all the walls. Inside is the same, with a lovely collection of wine and hard liquor bottles, stone and Venetian elegance at every turn.
The restaurant decided to give us a tasting of about nine of their dishes, platter-style. As the lone non-meat eater, I got my own little portions (most were not so little, though…). Things like Yukon gold Gnocchi, penne pasta, crab cakes and breaded halibut for dinner, and a large chunk of wicked tiramisu for dessert.
All of it was paired with very nice red wine: Merlot from Burrowing Owl in the Okanagan, BC.
What I liked:
