Vancouver Convention Centre Event for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, BC (Canada)
Other then holding large conventions in downtown Vancouver, I think the real purpose of the Vancouver Convention Centre is to show off the waterfront setting.
That was clear when I went to a Tourism BC event organized to get writers excited about the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. This building is stunning. Located right on the waterfront of Burrard inlet, the sweeping views of the coastal mountains are everywhere from the floor to ceiling windows.

It’s really a complete show off for the fact that Vancouver actually does look as good as the glossy brochures depict it as. Yes, we actually live here.
What I liked:
- Um, the spectacular waterfront views!
- Prime location on the downtown waterfront
- The indoor space is wide open with high ceilings that seem to go on forever
